The Occupational Safety and Health Center—Regional Extension Unit No. 6 conducted a free fire safety orientation for women in government at Smallville21 Hotel in Iloilo City, marking Fire Prevention Month and Women's Month. The event attracted 57 participants from 36 government agencies, aiming to enhance their knowledge of fire safety and preparedness.
Experts from the Bureau of Fire Protection led discussions and hands-on demonstrations, covering topics like fire chemistry, fire prevention, control, egress, and fire extinguisher operation. The event emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of safety and preparedness and serves as a steppingstone for more OSH initiatives.
The OSHC-REU 6 reaffirmed their commitment to continuing OSH advocacy efforts, particularly for women.
